Kirsten is passionate about sharing these teachings that develop a deep sense of self-acceptance and a willingness to embrace all of life's ups and down with a sense of ease and grace. It starts with this iRest Yoga Nidra practice session designed to help you cultivate joy. Kirsten Guest is the Director of iRest Teacher Certification at the Integrative Restoration Institute (IRI), the non-profit directed by Richard Miller that promotes the ease of suffering through sharing the teachings of iRest. Chairs, bolsters and blankets will also be available at the studio for your use. She specializes in NSDR (non sleep deep rest) and her yoga nidra teaching focuses on deep rest and integrating nondual spiritual wisdom. Please bring what you need to be comfortable lying down and sitting, as well as a notebook. You are welcome to join this class whether you have previous experience with iRest, other meditation, or simply are curious. Kirsten will then give suggestions on taking this practice into your day to day life. As well, you will be guided in a fully supported, lying down iRest meditation to nourish the body and to tap into the heart. What is life asking of us? What desire comes from our own heart? We will use sitting meditation to explore these questions, and will also engage in simple, guided, body sensing movement to awaken sensation in the body and help us connect to that continuing desire that pulls us into life. During this afternoon workshop, we will explore how we can use the principles and practices of iRest Yoga Nidra to discover and support what we are longing for in our lives. ![]()
